Sourcing real bouclé for a cropped Chanel-inspired jacket, where do you all find it
Spring 2026 is screaming at me to make a cropped bouclé jacket and I'm going to give in. The classic Chanel-inspired tweed silhouette with a cropped boxy fit. Has anyone here actually sourced real bouclé? I keep finding stuff online that's labeled bouclé but it's clearly synthetic and looks plasticky. I'd love to find Linton tweed which is what Chanel actually uses but the prices are insane unless you find it on a destash. Also wondering about lining bc apparently for proper bouclé construction you want silk charmeuse for the lining and bound buttonholes for the front. I've never done bound buttonholes, is it as hard as it looks? My pattern is between the StyleArc Harriet and the Cashmerette Canton Moto, leaning Harriet bc the cropped fit looks cleaner. If anyone is sitting on bouclé or tweed scraps over a yard I'd love to hear from you.
