Etsy search is unusable for fabric. anyone else basically given up?

I've been trying to source destash on Etsy lately and the seller side fees aren't even my main complaint. The bigger problem is that as a buyer I literally cannot find anything. I know the fabrics are on there. I've accidentally stumbled across exactly what I needed before. But when I'm searching deliberately the results are useless. Filter by fabric type and you still get every quilting kit, scrap bundle, PDF pattern, and finished bag on the site. Search for silk noil and you get everything except silk noil. Has anyone else basically given up on Etsy for actual fabric shopping? Where are people sourcing now? I've been buying way more on ThreadTalk just because the listings here are described properly by people who actually know what they're selling.
