Crepe vs dobby weave, whats the practical difference for garment sewing?

I see crepe and dobby weaves listed for similar applications and Im not sure how they actually differ in use. Crepe has that crinkled texture and dobby has small woven patterns? Does that affect how you cut and sew them or are they basically interchangeable for most purposes?
