Anyone else find that sewing your own clothes has completely changed how you shop?

I went into a department store last weekend for the first time in months and I couldnt make myself buy anything. Everything either had bad construction visible from a distance or fit so generically that I knew Id immediately want to alter it. Sewing has genuinely ruined regular clothes shopping for me. Anyone else?
