Anyone bought Italian mill fabric online? Is it worth the price difference?

I keep seeing Italian mill fabric referenced as a step above regular retail. The prices are noticeably higher. Is the quality difference actually significant enough to justify it, especially for someone whos still developing their skills? Or is this something to save for when youre more experienced?
