Do you ever buy RTW and immediately want to alter it?

I bought a blazer last week because I needed something quickly and Ive already mentally planned three alterations before I even wore it. Shorten the sleeves, take in the side seams, taper the back. Is this a normal sewist problem or have I broken my ability to just wear clothes as they come?
