Sewing rooms, how do you organize yours? Mine is completely out of control.

I have a dedicated room but its gotten to the point where I spend 20 minutes looking for things every time I start a project. Fabric is everywhere, notions are in four different places, and my cutting table has become a storage surface. How do you keep a sewing space actually functional?
