Has anyone made a suit jacket from a Vogue pattern? Are they actually wearable?

I want to make a suit jacket and the Vogue tailoring patterns look intimidating but also well-documented. Has anyone finished one and actually worn it? Im wondering if the finished product looks homemade or whether it can pass as proper tailoring.
