Anyone bought fabric from a destash sale on Instagram? How do you know its legit?

I keep seeing people do Instagram destash sales and some of the fabric looks amazing. But Im nervous about paying a stranger and hoping the fabric shows up. Has anyone bought this way and what was the experience like? Any red flags to watch for?
