Vogue patterns vs indie patterns, do you find the fit is actually different?

I learned to sew on Vogue patterns and I find the fit generally works for me but everyone talks about indie patterns having better instructions and more modern silhouettes. Is the fit actually different or is it mainly about the instructions and the aesthetics? Im curious whether switching would require re-learning my alterations.
