Is there a reliable way to tell if fabric is actually silk or just polyester satin?

I bought some fabric from a destash sale listed as silk charmeuse and Im not convinced. Its very shiny and slippery but it doesnt feel quite right. Is the burn test the only way to know for sure or are there other tells?
