Hot take: ease is way more important than getting the size right on the envelope

I spent two years cutting the size closest to my measurements and wondering why everything fit weird. Then I started actually reading the finished garment measurements and cutting based on ease instead. Complete game changer. Does anyone else feel like this is buried in pattern instructions and should be the first thing you learn?
