Hot take: hand basting is worth it and I will not apologize

I know everyone wants to skip straight to machine sewing but I started basting everything before I sew and my fitting accuracy went up dramatically. Zippers, waistbands, sleeves -- all of it. Anyone else or am I old fashioned?
