Fabric choice for structured anime armor that wont die in July heat?

Working on a Genshin Impact build for a summer con and I need something that holds shape for armor pieces but wont turn into a sweat box. I usually use craft foam + Worbla but my last build was unbearable in outdoor heat. Anyone tried fabric-based armor construction? Thinking maybe heavy duck canvas with interfacing or something.
