Scared to cut into nice fabric — how do you get over it?

I have 3 yards of this gorgeous Italian linen I got from Mood and its been sitting on my shelf for two months bc Im terrified of ruining it. I keep making muslins in cheap cotton and they turn out fine but the second I think about cutting the real thing I freeze. Is this a thing?? How do you guys deal with it?
