Wool crepe shrinking like crazy - help?

Bought 3 yards of gorgeous navy wool crepe, prewashed on cold delicate, line dried. Lost nearly half a yard?? Is this normal for wool crepe or did I get a bad batch? Its still usable but barely enough for my project now. Should I order more or is this unusual?
